Benjamin Holtzman is Director of New Nuclear at the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI), bringing more than 15 years of experience across the regulatory, technical and business sides of the nuclear industry. Benjamin leads NEI’s work to accelerate new nuclear deployment, focused on building a more efficient, risk-informed regulatory framework and engaging investors and new end-users in the opportunity. He holds a B.S. in nuclear engineering, an M.S. in nuclear, plasma and radiological engineering, and an executive MBA, giving him a rare view across regulation, technology and commercial deployment. Benjamin is a leading voice on turning a faster NRC and evolving licensing framework into buildable outcomes as the US fleet scales.
